I watched this video this morning of one of the engineers at Xai. He made it pretty clear that they calculate the value of a contribution *daily*. It didn't touch on payroll, but if you don't believe you can calculate value with this frequency, you're fooling yourself.
My calculation are merely estimates. Anything over 10x is pretty bad. You're right, this is woven through our financial lives. It'll be tough to dismantle. But, it'll happen eventually. I know there are some trying to solve this particular case
