So, do you see a near-term future where browsers are completely replaced by AI front-ends? If so, what happens to SEO as we know it? And how is trust (in terms of the information sources we prefer) affected? Is there a future where content is directly being created for AI rather than for human consumption?

The pace of change is increasing, so yes, I see the provider side working on this. It'll be like any adoption curve on the consumer side. Old habits are hard to break. But, I see that process accelerating as well just because it'll make life much easier. Less friction. More time to do other things.

What happens to SEO? It'll be a solution to a problem that no longer exists. I already hear new terms like GEO or something like that. That's word-salad. As I mentioned, this will become an API-first (or maybe that evolves into a more machine-oriented structure). Not sure how this is implemented, but sounds like Digital Twins will be required to identify capabilities, understand rules of engagement, and broker an exchange of resources.

Frankly, at that point the average person will not care how it works. The SEO consulting model will be gone, finally. 🥲
